Christmas tree hunt

We decided to purchase our Christmas tree today. It's a beautiful Fraser fir from Nordstrom's tree farm. Sammy had to come to sniff the right tree for us and mark others. : )

Elliot has kicked, blocked and counted his way through his first semester of Tae Kwon Do. He tested for his yellow belt on Friday. Great job, Elliot! You rock.

Metro wait and ride to Mall






Tracy and I started our DC adventure at 7am.
At the metro station, lines of people were on both sides of the
station, winding into the parking lots. People were energetic and
friendly trying to navigate the Metro fare machines.

After figuring out the lines, we scooted ahead because
our smart card allowed us to board without waiting
in line. Yeah! all thanks to Holly.

Restoring Honor rally

Amazing weekend in DC with Tracy, my sister.
First, the welcome and hospitality we received
was overwhelming from a homeschool
family who recently moved from Omaha to DC.
We didn't know the Panter family.
And the connection to them was
certainly the Lord's doing.

In Omaha the kids and I were
enjoying time with several Discovery
families on a Tuesday morning. I
mentioned trying to find a place to
stay in DC, but was having trouble finding
vacancies. One of the moms there spoke up and said
she knew a family in DC who just
might be crazy enough to have us for
guests! After a few emails, and without
any hesitation Holly in DC said "yes!"

Tracy & I are extremely grateful we were able
to attend the rally and meeting the Panter
family was such a neat bonus!!

Double rainbow!!



One of my favorite things in God's creation are rainbows.
While traveling to Illinois we saw a brilliant, clear DOUBLE
rainbow. This rainbow was visible on both sides of the road,
the ends seemed
to touch down in the Iowa corn fields!

It reminded me that God's blessings are
exponentially more than we can imagine or explain.
I am grateful. He is so.... good to us!
Thank you, Jesus for saving me.

OPD stables

Omaha Police Dept has a full mounted division. The officers work all shifts from the
downtown location. It's an extremely nice stable and the horses are beautiful.
