Step Out 2009

Kingsway participated in a city wide serving event called Step Out. Our group, the horse shoe team worked at the Hope Center in downtown Omaha. Hope's mission is

"RAISING UP A GENERATION OF PURITY, PASSION AND PURPOSE"

Our team ripped weeds out, trimmed overgrown bushes and lastly sprayed weed killer. Alex and Elliot worked side by side most of the time. There's no task Alex won't help with. He was amazing.
There was also painting to be done inside. Ahhh..the AC.
Great job, team way to serve for the sake of Christ.

Joslyn art museum past and present

Picture coming soon!

We've been looking at baby pictures of Hunter & Elliot lately. I ran across our visit to Omaha when Uncle Jon graduated from UNO medical school. The ceremony was held at Joslyn. Elliot is almost 3 and Hunter is 6 years old.

Early morning fun

Elliot, Sammy and I ran through the neighbors sprinklers this morning at 6:30am, while it was raining. Sammy made us do it. Hee! hee!

Great-great grandparents

This is a picture of my Dad's grandparents, William and Flora. They sailed across the Atlantic from England in 1905 to make a life for themselves in America. My grandfather was 2 years old on the voyage. Upon arrival the entire family traveled to Lexington, Missouri. William said he never would've gone to Missouri if he'd known is was that far from the ocean. Their family consisted of 9 children, 5 boys and 4 girls.

My grandpa was a wonderful man. He played with Hunter as a baby. At the age of 80+ he got down on his hands and knees to play in the floor with her. She liked pulling his thick white hair. It's fabulous to remember times together, I did the same thing to grandpa when I was little.

Hunter's photography

Hunter enjoys taking pictures and Elliot is a willing subject. Here he is at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri.

Sprinkler fun at Tranquility fields

It was a hot day of rocket launching, the sprinklers looked way to good...........they had to run through their spray. Summer time is so great.

Kingsway's Vacation Bible School

Every night we pumped up the energy at VBS, we learned to TAKE IT IN and LIVE IT OUT. All of the pastors at Kingsway are bald! Because the VBS families raised over $5,000 to buy an "ark" through Heifer International. They offered their hair and we met the goal, so bye-bye flowing locks.
Hunter was the official VBS baker making over 6 dozen cupcakes and a twinkie cake. Great job!
