Bringing sunshine to Waterford

Hunter's craft club made tiny clay pot snowmen complete with crocheted or knitted scarves to deliver to the residents of Waterford. The boys helped deliver them too. The residents were very happy to see the kids and get a snowman. Meeting Grandma Kay was a treat, she's a lovely lady.

Lazer tag

It was a blast meeting some Discovery group families at Skate Daze this week. We skated and played lazer tag. Fun.

More downtown Omaha pictures

Downtown Omaha

Our family enjoyed a visit to the downtown library and Old Market. It was a brisk winter day, with lots of sunshine. We peeked in store windows, bought candy and played at Hollywood Candy and strolled through the Passageway. The Russian Red Square shop had Pittsburgh Steelers authentic stacking dolls. Fun!

Fondue night

Winter time is perfect for a fondue night. We had lots of food to dip and friends to share with. Please no double dipping!

Monday chores

Monday mornings are strip the beds day. It's always better to make chores fun by "riding" the sheets down the stairs. It's a soft landing too.

Elliot makes a cape

I made a red cape for Elliot.
Sam, Elliot's friend has enjoyed playing with it too. Elliot decided to buy fabric with his own money, to make one for Sam. With a little help from mom and using Hunter's sewing machine the cape looks great. The honest Abe hat completes the project.

Touring USS Midway

Alex & I toured the USS Midway, a retired aircraft carrier. Alex experienced two, six month deployments while in the Navy. He told me a lot about living on these impressive floating cities. Our tour lasted over two hours. These ships are huge. Go Navy! God bless our military.

Hunter's room makeover

For her thirteenth birthday coming up, February 21st, Hunter wanted her room redone. She chose the colors, paint and rug. Hunter & Kathy painted and Alex finished up the details. He also pulled up the carpet, not an easy job. Underneath were beautiful hard wood floors. Excellent.

Breath-taking Pacific sunset

The pictures don't do the splendid sunset justice. Absolutely fantastic and awe inspiring. Loved it!

Sunny California

It's -10 degrees in Omaha, while were in San Diego wearing flip flops and sunglasses. A bike tour of the island gives a glimpse of the beauty and history of Coronado.

San Diego anniversary trip

Alex knew long ago in BUDS training he wanted to bring his wife to the Hotel Del in Coronado, California. He is driven and a romantic, here we are together for ten years and celebrating at the Del. Beautiful! Life is so sweet.
