Surrounded by Seuss

Our family enjoys reading, one of our favorite authors is Dr Seuss. Elliot has several of his titles. Great reads.

Rachael gets a Sammy hug

Rachael is a cutie, Sammy is quite a dog.

valentines

I love sending and receiving cards, so Valentine's day is a treat for me. Here are a few of our family's card collection.
Kathy sent goody bags for Elliot & Hunter filled with fun valentine toys and treats. It was fun to have Rachael here too, she loved the toy "popper" in her bag. And the pink rose from Uncle Alex.

The Lego valentine has been built two years in a row for me from Elliot. This year the Lego heart model changed just a tad. Love it! Thanks for the beautiful flowers, Alex.

Elliot's fedora

Ever since Elliot saw Manny's awesome fedora in December, he has been on the lookout for one in Omaha. Elliot is dapper.

Operation Safe Kids

Discovery group participated in the USSS Operation Safe kids campaign. The service provided free ID kits for the families with inkless finger printing. All the families were very grateful to receive this helpful tool in keeping their children safe.

Sledding at Mahoney State Park

Our Saturday was a busy one. Once the b-day party was over we went sledding in the 8+ inches of snow that fell all day Friday. The enjoyment was elevated since Rachael was with us too! The kids went ice skating at the outdoor pavilion and climbed in the huge play gym.

Hunter's birthday party

It's Valentine's day and we hosted Hunter's birthday brunch. What a lovely gathering of delightful young ladies. Hunter made a breakfast casserole, fruit salad and cheesecake. The boys decided to leave soon after the food was eaten!
I'm amazed she's thirteen in a few days. I'm grateful time does not stand still, and God keeps us all growing with every change. Hunter is thoughtful, generous and energetic with all things crafty. Her gift to us is far more valuable than she understands.

Super Bowl

Food, fun and football. The Steelers reign as having the most Super Bowl wins. Great game, it was a nail biter. I think championship games should be "on the edge of your seat" good. The commercials weren't very good, except the Coke Troy Polamalu one.
