school fun, owl pellet dissection





Dissecting owl pellets proved to be an interesting project, we found
mostly rodent vertebrae. The kit provided information on
Alaskan raptors as well. We learned the golden eagle grip
is 800 pounds per square inch, enough to grab a small deer.
