Pheasant hunting
Alex and Elliot enjoyed hunting one bitterly cold Sunday morning. It was -14. Yikes! The hunt didn't last the whole day, they were finished by noon. The subzero wind cut like a knife through their clothes.
Hunter & I had the privilege to serve lunch downtown to the poor and homeless of Omaha the same afternoon. We were extremely cold too, for the 23 minutes we helped serve. It seemed much longer. Being there on such a cold day, humbled us and we reflected on how blessed we are. One lady was wearing capris, some people didn't have gloves and their faces were bright red from wind burn. All were very grateful to receive hot soup to eat and warm clothes.
Matthew 25:40 "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me." - Jesus
