Saguaro cactus

Boomer kindly stopped on the side of the road
so we could photograph a saguaro cactus. It's HUGE! Don't touch...ouch!

The trek up to it. Julia stayed close to the van.

VBS on the reservation

Monday-Thursday we arrived on the reservation at 9:30am.
Ready for VBS on the basketball court 2 days and park
2 days. Both were riddled with trash,
graffiti and broken glass.

Mountains surrounding the reservation.

One neighborhood. Poverty is evident.

One of the BEST times.......

Reading our Bibles and talking about what God had done
during our day on the reservation. Each student took turns leading our discussion.
I'm so proud of these kids. They are wise beyond their years and BEST
of all allowing God to work in their hearts and minds, which showed clearly
through their actions and words.

I Corinthians 1:4
I always thank God for you because of his grace given you
in Christ Jesus.

minute to win it games

In the evenings we downloaded the day during devotion time,
followed by a minute to win it game. Our lodging was the fellowship hall of
Trinity Baptist Church. Air mattresses for all!

Go Boomer!

Stack and clasp the cups....FAST!

Hannah is rockin'

Julia finished in less than 60 seconds. Great job!

New Mexico natural arch

This natural arch was enormous. As we stood underneath it and screamed, our voices echoed.
The sand along the trail was like satin, it was soft and fine. Nancy saw a cougar (or some large cat) footprint near the trail.

on the road again.....in the van
