Christmas dinner

We planned a nice ham dinner to enjoy with family and friends. Mom and dad weren't able to join us. Dinner was fantastic to share with friends too. Some dinner highlights; nerf gun war, pumpkin pie disaster, spirited backgammon and pictionary.

More Christmas memories.....

Merry Christmas

We attended candlelight Christmas Eve service at Kingsway, which is always a favorite of mine. At home I made cinnamon rolls for breakfast. Our tree was loaded with gifts underneath it. After reading Twas the night before Christmas, the kids went to bed.
The morning was filled with smiles and giggling as we unwrapped each gift.

Birthday blessings

Every year my family makes my birthday so sweet and special, I'm extremely blessed. This year they treated me to a slice of vegan, totally organic, carrot cake from Whole Foods. I love carrot cake, the "healthy vegan" version was fun and yummy good. The mini plastic spork was cute. My handmade b-day cards were my favorite. Alex & Hunter made a delicious dinner and Elliot set the table wonderfully, complete with a bouquet of flowers. Dear family, thank you for a lovely birthday celebration.

A fun overnight in KC

Our friends moved to California and we miss them very much. They came to Missouri for Christmas. Missouri is a lot closer to Nebraska than California. So we met them in KC for an evening. Delightful visit!

Hunter's cookies-in-jar party

Hunter hosted a few of her delightful friends for a cookies-in-a-jar party. Each girl brought an ingredient to share and we provided the jars, flour, sugar and recipes. Hunter carefully planned each detail of the party. Elliot helped do the muscle work and moved chairs and tables for his sister. The afternoon was filled with fun and friends. It was a lovely way to spend a frigid, December afternoon.

Christmas baking

Hunter and Alex prepared the grocery list and shopped for all the necessary baking ingredients. Each of us chose a favorite cookie to bake. Let the baking begin....
Sugar cookies with sprinkles, holly berries, caramel turtles covered in chocolate, egg nog bread and chocolate dipped pretzels.
